Colony Management - Do You Manage a WNY Colony?

HELP US HELP YOU

Our Colony Registration Form is only for caregivers located in Western New York (Erie, Niagara, Wyoming, Orleans, Chautauqua, Cattaraugus or Genesee counties)

Please take a few minutes to complete the quick but very important CAREGIVER COLONY REGISTRATION FORM below. One or two cats count just as much as a large colony!

Feral Cat FOCUS encourages feral cat caregivers in Western New York to submit information about the location(s) of their managed feral and free-roaming cat colony/colonies. This data is vital to us for several reasons:

1) It is essential to increasing the chances for success as we continue to formulate new grant applications in support of low-cost spay/neuter services for the Western New York Trap-Neuter-Vaccinate-Return community.

2) It will help us to better identify TNVR communities with the greatest need for assistance.

3) It will help save a life. If an ear-tipped cat is trapped and surrendered to a municipal animal control agency or an animal shelter, they call Feral Cat FOCUS for help in returning the cat back to its managed colony. If the caregiver and colony are registered with Feral Cat FOCUS we can locate the colony nearest to where the cat was trapped, contact the caregiver, and return the cat to safely back to its colony. In cases when there is no registered colony, we contact our registered caregivers to see if anyone “has room for one more” in their colony.

All information provided regarding caregiver identity, address and contact information, as well as colony location, will be held in strict confidence by Feral Cat FOCUS and will not be disclosed to any other party or organization without express written permission by the caregiver. General data such as zip code may be used for statistical purposes only and never in a manner that would reveal any confidential information.
